Face of Today's World !
What has happened to the world?
What has happened to all of us?
Have we become the slaves of money?
Or helping someone has become very funny!!!
Have we been thinking too much of ourselves,
Or have we forgotten to be selfless!!!
The whole world is in pain
And we have become so insane,
Cause we do not feel the pain of others
No matter even if she is our mother.
Where has all the love gone?
Where has all the peace gone?
Have we dumped them in one corner?
And think of it as a foreigner,
Or money is everything,
And humanity gains nothing!!!
When I see someone in pain
I do feel the same,
But if I don’t help the helpless
There is no one to gain,
Therefore I want to be so powerful
To provide the needy the needful,
So that atleast I can make someone smile,
And make them forget their pain for a little while!!!
God give the courage,
So that I can fulfill my Wish,
To make a better place for atleast some people!!!!
PS - I had written this poem when one of my friend’s relative and her young son met with an accident while they were driving on a scooter…the child died on the spot and the woman was crying in pain in the middle of the road… but none of the mute spectators came forward to help her out…Today this woman is completely paralyzed from below her neck…but she has still not given her hopes to live life without being dependant on even her husband who has left her alone after the incident…
Also in a time where in science technology and education we might be going forward but our moral values are certainly going downward…cause even the highly educated people do not wish to take responsibilities of their old parents…
Where are we all heading towards????
