Sinking Sand
I am slipping away
Into this sinking sand,
The more I try to struggle up
The more I slither away.
I see no help in sight
I am trying to rise with all my might,
I call to the stars
I call to the moon
but I see no help, not very soon.
as I am the one
who dug this grave,
and no one knows
of this place.
I was the master
And I was the slave,
The role which I played longer
Paved my way.
Today where I am
is not where I wanted to be,
but I didn’t give it all
to be where I should have been.
now I don’t know
if I have any more time left with me,
as my life has come to standstill
and I feel is leaving me.
I lost the only chance
That god gave it to me,
I couldn’t appreciate his beauty
and the power he vested in me.
I feel like a loser
Find it so hard to see,
To see this person in the mirror
